As the Emmys mark the start of the Awards Season in Hollywood, on this side of the pond the nominees were announced for the business communications industry equivalent, the Comms National Awards, with the Incom-CNS team creating ripples, once again, as finalists in two categories.
We are delighted to be shortlisted in the Best Enterprise UC (Unified Communications) category for our Mitel MiVoice Business solution, with MiCollab and Microsoft Teams, at global wire product manufacturer, Gripple; but we are perhaps even more proud of our finalist status in the one off, ‘special category’ for 2020, the Keeping Britain Working Award.
To be considered for this special award, entrants must demonstrate how they have gone above and beyond to ensure a vital customer was able to keep communicating during the Covid-19 crisis. Our submission was centered around our work for the Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust (MFT), one of the largest acute Trusts in the UK, employing over 20,000 staff.
As the pandemic began to impact the UK, our expert team worked alongside MFT to adapt existing Mitel solutions and plan and implement new projects across multiple hospital sites, to tight timescales. The work included the migration of 300+ NHS staff to remote working, to create space for Covid-19 wards, and the installation and management of a new (and extremely busy) contact centre, purpose-built for agents managing the NHS Test and Trace service.

It really was ‘all hands on deck’ at the beginning of the year, as we had to respond rapidly and meet the requirements of multiple MFT hospital sites. The team has worked tirelessly behind the scenes throughout the pandemic and continues to do so.”
The winners of the Comms National Awards 2020 will be announced on 22nd October as the ceremony is live streamed from the London Marriott Hotel, Grosvenor Square.
